    Mercat de Sant Andreu

This covered market was built in 1914 to accommodate the stallholders from the open-air market in Plaça del Mercadal. This street market dates back to 1850, a time when Sant Andreu de Palomar was a separate village. This new market will cater to the needs of the local community. The building will let in more light and its height will be lowered so that it blends in better with its surroundings: the unique porticoed square, Plaça del Mercadal, in the historic heart of the neighbourhood.

    How to get there: Metro L1-Sant Andreu | Bus 11, H4, H8, V31.
Services: adapted for people with reduced mobility, sustainable commerce.
