    This market not only supplies the northern boroughs of Barcelona but makes a vital contribution to day-to-day community life. It was built in 1965 to cater to the demands for food by the people from the rest of Spain who had moved here to live in the 1960s. The extension and refurbishment of the market were completed in 2013 giving the building a modern appearance at the cutting edge of design.
