Torre Glòries Lookout
The iconic Torre Glòries building, designed by Jean Nouvel, has been transformed into a viewpoint that invites you to see Barcelona from above and immerse yourself in an artistic and sensory experience. The Torre Glòries Lookout is a new concept of lookout offering 360º views of the city at a height of 125 meters. In addition, its interior becomes a cultural center that offers a multidisciplinary experience that brings together art, science and technology.
Its different spaces allow for an in-depth look at various aspects of Barcelona. On the one hand, the Hipermirador ("hyper-lookout") shows the city as a living organism in constant transformation through science, art, technology, and the universe of big data, which is complemented by a hundred folded paper figures that have been made by the artist Joan Sallas in the exhibition Barcelonins. On the 30th floor is the observation deck itself, where the 360º views of the city are simply spectacular and the sky is at your fingertips. And the Cloud Cities Barcelona space immerses visitors in the stunning multisensory artwork by Tomás Saraceno. It is a permanent and walkable exhibition, suspended in the dome of the building. As you walk through it, the changing space invites you to reflect on the connections between citizens; a living interconnection that makes up Barcelona's urban ecosystem.
Torre Glòries, formerly known as Torre Agbar, is the result of a collaboration between Atelier Jean Nouvel and b720 Studio Barcelona. It has become a symbol of Barcelona since its creation in 2005 and it can be seen from many parts of the city. Now, in addition, it allows you to experience the views of the city from its highest point.
The main highlight for families:
The Hyperview on floor -1 is an interesting opportunity for kids and teens to reflect on the interdependence involved in living in an urban ecosystem. On the 30th floor, you'll feel as if you're almost touching the sky with its dizzying views. But, certainly, the best thing for kids and teens to do is to explore the artist Tomás Sarraceno's permanent interactive artwork which is suspended inside the dome. They'll feel like they're floating in a cloud!
