A Bunch of Questions with No Answers - La Virreina Centre de la Imatge Barcelona Art Season, Exhibitions

The exhibition "A Bunch of Questions with No Answers", presented at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, brings together questions asked by journalists to the United States Department of State during press briefings held between 3 October 2023 and the end of the Biden administration regarding the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Faced with responses that were often evasive or convoluted, the artists chose to remove them and leave only the questions, placing them at the centre of the work.

The project is by Robert M. Ochshorn, artist, engineer and cultural theorist, and Alex Reynolds, an artist who explores forms of relation embedded in cinematic language. Through a device that combines research, technology and audiovisual thinking, the exhibition proposes a critical reflection on political discourse, the mechanisms of institutional communication and the role of the media in shaping the public narrative.
