The exhibition dedicated to Jean-Luc Godard at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge presents the most comprehensive show to date on the influential Franco-Swiss filmmaker, marking a major museographic milestone both nationally and internationally. The exhibition brings together, for the first time, a selection of previously unseen materials from his personal archive: shooting notebooks, recordings, photographs, paintings, books and other documents that shed light on his creative process and the complex constellation of references that shaped his work.

Developed in collaboration with the filmmaker's closest circle, the exhibition offers an in-depth look at his cinematic thinking, understood as a space where image, word and politics are in constant dialogue. Ten years after the exhibition devoted to Alexander Kluge, La Virreina Centre de la Imatge continues its line of research into contemporary film practices and the major figures of European auteur cinema.
