Prisoners of Love. Until the Sun of Freedom, an exhibition by Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme at MACBA – Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, presents an audiovisual installation exploring the resilience of former Palestinian prisoners through song and poetry. The exhibition also brings together earlier works by the artists, who since 2007 have worked across image, sound, text and performance. Their practice combines found materials and original production to question how memory, history and narratives of resistance are constructed in the face of violence and dispossession. .
