Open Arms: Every Life Counts! - Palau Robert Exhibitions

Every Life Counts! is an exhibition dedicated to the work of Open Arms, on view from 5 February to 3 May at the Palau Robert. The exhibition looks back on ten years of humanitarian action in response to the migration crisis in the Mediterranean, from the organisation's beginnings in 2015 on the island of Lesbos to search and rescue operations in the central Mediterranean, one of the most dangerous migration routes in the world. Photographs, testimonies and documentary materials provide context on the lack of safe pathways and institutional responses, as well as the impact of rescue missions, with more than 73,000 lives protected. Beyond maritime rescue, the exhibition addresses the defence of human rights, the fight against disinformation and the importance of fostering a critical and informed view of migration.
