Moco Museum Barcelona presents a temporary exhibition featuring new works by Barcelona-based sculptor Samuel Salcedo, on view from 28 January 2026. The exhibition brings together a selection of sculptures in which the human face becomes a site of emotional, identity-based and introspective projection. Through enlarged heads and restrained expressions, Salcedo explores the complexity of emotions and the distance between outward appearance and inner life. Trained in Fine Arts in Barcelona and with an established international career, the artist is noted for his technical mastery and experimental use of materials such as resin, aluminium and bronze, treated to create translucent and densely expressive surfaces. The exhibition invites visitors to slow down and reflect, reinforcing the museum's commitment to promoting local talent and contemporary art with a critical perspective.
