Daniel Hope. Handel's MessiahChristmas Time, Classical music and Opera

The majestic oratorio The Messiah forms part of the soundtrack to our Christmas. Brilliant pieces of music written in the mid-18th century in which Georg Friedrich Händel condenses the fascinating story of Christ into a little over two hours, from the Nativity to his death and resurrection. Choral exuberance contrasts with arias full of reflection, spiritual depth and audacity. Daniel Hope, one of the last disciples of Yehudi Menuhin, will revisit this cathedral of sound at the head of the Palau's Chamber Choir and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Intimacy and grandeur in a performance that welcomes in the coldest and most festive time of the year.
