Inspired in Barcelona: Luce Exhibitions
10/07/2025 - 02/08/2026

Light is much more than a functional resource: it is a creative language capable of transforming spaces, generating emotions, and defining identities. After its presentation at Milan Design Week, the exhibition Inspired in Barcelona: Luce now returns to its home city, specially reinterpreted for Barcelona Design Week.
This edition focuses on self-produced projects: unique pieces or small series conceived for a specific commission or designed directly for the end user. This practice is increasingly widespread thanks to the democratization of manufacturing processes, which allows designers, artists, architects, and engineers to bring their ideas to life and share them without intermediaries.
The exhibition also looks back to recover pioneers who, long before the emergence of digital platforms and social networks, were already exploring an independent and personalized way of understanding design.
Among the most notable pieces are BARCELONA, the luminaire by Antoni Arola—recognizable in the city streets during the Christmas season—and the light installation developed by Simon and designed by Michela Mezzavilla – MMAS Lighting, which transforms the exhibition space with a unique atmosphere created for the occasion.
Exhibition organized by BCDF in collaboration with Disseny Hub Barcelona.
