Reopening of the basilica of the Sagrada Família

The basilica of the Sagrada Família will be reopening on 4th July adhering to current health and safety guidelines. During the initial reopening phases, which will last until the end of the year, the basilica will only be open at weekends and admission will be restricted to key workers, carers and Barcelona residents.
Visits will recommence in a phased manner as follows:
Tribute phase: weekends from 4th to 12th July, for key workers and carers who have played such a vital role during lockdown. Maximum of 12,000 free visits expected.
Barcelona residents phase: weekends, from 18th July until the end of 2020, for everyone on the Barcelona census and electoral roll (ID must be shown). Maximum of 125,000 free visits expected.
Opening to tourists phase: to be determined, depending on the numbers of tourists from Spain and abroad visiting the city.
There will be website which Barcelona residents can use to book their free ticket (from 16th June). The ticket will include a handy QR code which you can scan to listen to the audioguide from your mobile device.
