Ani Leinonen (1978, Hyvinkää) is a Finnish artist who has faced threats and hatred for his critical approach to consumerism and its role in contemporary society. Through the manipulation of the corporate imagery of globally recognised companies, Leinonen exposes the impact of capitalism on the collective psyche. Characters such as Che Guevara, Donald Trump, Lenin or Buddha are the object of his corrosive critique as they become part of capitalist iconography.
