The former principal conductor of L'Auditori, Salvador Brotons, returns to the baton to conduct the classic New Year's concert. Polkas and waltzes are a must on this evening, and Brotons has selected a repertoire that invites celebration with Jan van der Roost's extrovert Jubilus! and Anthony Girard's Gaia. In the second part it is the turn of Viennese rhythms with a selection of works by Johann Strauss Jr. among others.
