To contemplate a work by Antonio López is to be faced with years, sometimes decades, of work. The painter and sculptor Antonio López (Tomelloso, Ciudad Real, 1936), is the representative par excellence of the Spanish realist movement of the second half of the 20th century. His paintings reflect the importance he gives to the creative process, since he himself affirms that A work never ends, but bequeaths to the limit of its own possibilities. Now we have the opportunity to admire his thoughtful and meticulous work in the first retrospective monographic exhibition of the work that has been held in Barcelona, specifically in the exhibition hall of La Pedrera. It brings together 80 carefully selected pieces that cover more than seven decades of the artist's work.
