These posters are more than a century old but nevertheless they do not lose that air of modernity that made them so famous and groundbreaking. The father of art nouveau, Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), was made famous for creating an advertising iconography based on fascinating women, and he developed a virtuoso and unique graphic style where the underlying theme was always the search for beauty. The exhibition in the Palau MartorellAlphonse Mucha. In quest of beauty is made up of three sections. The first two focus on his contribution to art nouveau in Paris and the third explores the evolution of his art once Mucha returned to his homeland, the former czechoslovakia.
