The Museu de Ciències Naturals and the Botanical Gardens reopen to the public Exhibitions and activities, Family activities
06/15/2020 - 2020

The Botanical Gardens and the Museu de Ciències Naturals reopened with all the current safety measures in place and new, extended opening hours as well as new experiences for visitors online or in person.

At the Museu de Ciències Naturals you can visit the temporary exhibition "Monkeys. A History of Primates" until 29th November and complete the experience with a game you can play on your mobile device, called "Freedom for Bongo!", which challenges visitors to free a primate captured by poachers. Of course, you can also visit the permanent exhibition "Planet Life" and a new show, which is particularly current, "Outbreak. Epidemics in a Connected World". It reveals the factors that favour contagion from infectious diseases, like Covid-19, to such an extent that they unleash a pandemic.

At the Botanical Gardens on Mount Montjuïc, between the castle and Olympic Stadium, you can visit 14 hectares of gardens containing a complete collection of plants from the Mediterranean and around the world, while you enjoy magnificent views of the city.

You can enjoy the visit with a mobile app and complement it with a treasure hunt on your mobile device called "My head is spinning", to guess which plant has poisoned a bird.
