From sea to sea. Pilgrimage and postmodernismExhibitions and activities
11/15/2019 - 02/16/2020
This exhibition covers the Santiago Way from the perspective of the anthropologist Elisabet Pertegàs. Through a physical journey, Pertegàs examines how the meaning of the Christian pilgrimage is, in the contemporary world, a journey to one's inner self, and she links it to the values of the postmodern society which, lacking reliable role models, find other new examples while traveling on foot such as making contact with nature, discovering one's physical limit and the sense of belonging to a community of travelers.
