Modernism and flowers. From nature to architectureExhibitions and activities
06/27/2019 - 08/25/2019

Modernism was greatly inspired by nature. In particular, plants and flowers were a recurring theme for architects, glassmakers, ceramicists and all the craftsmen that worked in the decorative arts at the end of the 19th and beginnings of the 20th century. This exhibition reveals how the plant world was the main protagonist of this movement and does so by taking us on a journey from the creative process to the creative production itself, leading us through an urban garden with the displays that can be found in buildings. "Modernism and flowers" ends with a reflection on the difficulty of preserving the arts applied outside the architectural setting.
