Liberxina, Pop and New Artistic Practices, 1966-1971Exhibitions and activities
11/16/2018 - 04/22/2019

In the exhibition Liberxina we are able to see work from the artistic movements at the end of the sixties, which had close links to the international renewal that came about over that time, just as we reach the 50th anniversary of May '68. At that time when Pop Art and New Figuration were emerging, the work during that period was linked to modernity, freedom and revolution.

Issues such as capitalism, individual creativity and pacifism stand out in the work of those times, to which can be added resistance to the specific context of Francoism.

This will be the first of a series of focus exhibitions whose objective is to look into specific phenomena and time frames to arrive at an analytical interpretation of post-war Catalan art.
