The Auditorium presents the new season with a timeless classic: Mahler's fifth symphony. For three days, theOrquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (OBC), conducted by Kazushi Ono, shows the best characteristics of this imposing work.

This outstanding work by Mahler became popular when it was used in the movie Death in Venice, by Luchino Visconti, in which the fourth movement of the symphony became the main character.

However, before enjoying Mahler, a work by Schumann will be performed, for four trumpets and orchestra, including the OBC soloist and the Berlin Philharmonic soloist.
