Activities in Pavelló Mies van der RoheExhibitions and activities

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe was set up in 1983 by the Barcelona City Hall with the initial purpose of reconstructing the German Pavilion designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition. In accordance with its objectives, the Fundació organises awards, congresses, conferences, exhibitions, workshops and cultural events.

The program of activites for 2018 includes an intervention in collaboration with MACBA, avant-garde music with the Fundación Goethe, video art linked to the Loop Festival, dance and contemporary music with students from the Institut del Teatre and the ESMUC or an intervention of Mileece within the framework of the SONAR. All the interventions are specifically created for the Pavilion, generating new looks and enhancing it as a space of inspiration and experimentation.

This year the film series Pantalla Pavelló and the Barcelona Architecture Week also consolidate, in which the Pavilion will be one of the leading spaces but will also reach each district with street exhibitions about the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.

The 12th December, the Pavelló will be open from 10am to 3pm and the 13th December, from 10am to 2pm.
