At the Berdache Gender Art Festival, art is defined within this social phenomenon that involves the discussion of gender identity to give visibility to minorities and, above all, to overthrow prejudices. We will be able to contemplate works and performances by local, national and international artists that will help us to reflect and give us new points of view.

    LGTBI Museums

    Seven museums and monuments (La Fundació Joan Miró, the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya, the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and the museums in Sant Cugat del Vallès) have joined forces to offer a special program celebrating the pride and liberation of LGTBI groups. Their exhibition spaces are filled with temporary displays, talks, guided tours and imaginative routes in honor of sexual and gender diversity. A new non-historicist look, an appreciation of the realities excluded from the prevailing narrative and, ultimately, an opportunity to dismantle prejudices through art.
