In 2021, Barcelona will be the World Sustainable Food Capital. The nomination stems from the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact, signed in 2019 by cities from around the world, including Barcelona. To mark the occasion, dozens of entities and organisations from Barcelona will be taking part in events and activities and discussing measures that will reflect on the way we eat and foster sustainable and agroecological food.
Food waste is one of the world's most serious problems in terms of sustainability.
