This year's selection by José R. Pascual-Vilaplana, director of the Barcelona Municipal Band (BMB) for a celebration of Christmas, focuses on pieces for an orchestra of wind instruments, written mostly by American composers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Works by Randol Alan Bass, Bruce Broughton and Clifton Williams among others will be performed and you will also be able to listen to the first performance of "Dark Life of the Night Girl", composed by Theresa Martin and narrated by actress Carlota Olcina. The evening closes with the now essential Catalan Christmas carols by Salvador Brotons himself.
