The Japanese artist Osamu Tezuka is known as the God of Manga because he was undoubtedly responsible for bringing this style of famous Japanese comic to prominence. He had an important influence on a series of later famous authors such as the duo Fujiko Fujio (creators of Doraemon), Shotaro Ishinomori (the author who holds the Guinness world record for the most number of comics published) and Yoshihiro Tatsumi (one of the main artists of gekiga). The MNAC is staging an exhibition dedicated to the creator of Astro Boy, Princess Knight and Kimba, the white lion, and we will be able to see his creations up close and get to know and admire his work.
