Musical ResidenciesClassical music and Opera
09/17/2017 - 05/20/2018

In the autumn, Catalunya La Pedrera Foundation will once again offer its own approach to music at La Pedrera, continuing to recommend young musical talent through a new season of the Musical Residencies cycle.

Those selected for the sixth year of the series are the soprano Sara Blanch, the pianist Adrian Blanco, and the guitarist Izan Rubio. All of them are young Catalans with recognised talent and emerging careers who are currently also promoting themselves abroad.
As in previous years, the scheduled programme involves concerts at La Pedrera on the third Sunday of every month in the afternoon. The new feature begins on 17th of September and ends on 20th of May. Meanwhile, the cycle continues to alternate the residents: every three months each of them feature in a different concert to offer the public a season of concerts with a more varied, attractive programme. This format allows the residents to work on their programmes for longer while remaining associated with the Foundation’s Residency programme throughout the season.

Sara Blanch, soprano: 17th of September 2017, 21th of January and 18th of March 2018.
Izan Rubio, guitar: 15th of October and 19th of November 2017 and 15th of April 2018.
Adrian Blanco, piano: 17th of December 2017, 18th of February and 20th of May 2018.
