Motets from WeimarClassical music and Opera

Motets are polyphonic compositions which were created in the Middle Ages to be sung in churches. They were preserved during the Barroque era and are used to name long works, which even include the complete orquestra, apart from the choir and basso continuo. In this performance, we will be able to hear the Barroque interpretation of motets by three outstanding German composers: Schütz, Bach and Praetorius. They will be performed by the Chamber Choir of Hochschüle für Musik Franz Liszt of Weimar and the Coro Joven de l'Orfeó Català.
