Bernstein, Bártok and the violinist Ray ChenClassical music and Opera
03/31/2017 - 04/02/2017

An evening dedicated to contemporary classical music. On the one hand, the most lyrical piece by Bernstein, and on the other, the Concerto for Orchestra, the most popular work by Bartók, Both works are thanks to the Russian conductor, Serge Koussevitzky, a great defender of contemporary classical music. He has taken on dozens of assignments of the best composers of the day, from the mid-20th century. The program is completed with three Spanish dances by Enrique Granados. All with the highly acclaimed Simone Young as director, and the young, virtuoso violinist Ray Chen, accompanied by the OBC.
