Concierto de AranjuezClassical music and Opera

The Evening of the Spanish Guitar brings us the heart of Spain. With music inspired in tradition and lyrical melodies, the vibrant tones of the guitar and its rhythmic energy captures the sounds and Spanish feeling like no other instrument.
The star work of the programme is the “Concierto de Aranjuez” by Joaquín Rodrigo, the fetish work of the guitarist Rolando Saad. He has played it over 900 times to more than two million people in the main music halls of Europe and with prestigious orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London. The virtuoso performance by Rolando Saad captures and transmits to audiences the joyful spirit of the work and the reminiscence of happy days in the parks of Aranjuez, in the most beautiful dialogue written for music between the guitar and orchestra. “El Amor Brujo” by Falla and “Carmen” complete the programme dedicated to Spanish music.
