- The gateway and the place where different cultures and civilisations passed through and settled, the coast of Girona was named the Costa Brava – or Wild Coast – 100 years ago because of its steep and craggy contours, small coves set among pine glades, and crystal-clear waters that bathe the shores of its towns and villages.
- Two departures available:
- Full-day trip:
- Departure from Barcelona bound for Calella de Palafrugell, a small fishing village that still retains is traditional appearance.
- You will enjoy a walk along the Camí de Ronda, an old coastal path that runs along the Costa Brava and was used as a look-out point for smugglers. A gentle stroll that will take you to the neighbouring village of Llafranc.
- You will discover the medieval ensemble of Pals. As you make your way through the cobbled streets in its immaculately preserved historic centre, you will feel yourselves going back in time.
- You will board the Nautilus to sail past the Medes Islands and enjoy the amazing seabed from the underwater cabins.
- You will visit the Greek and Roman remains at Empúries, which are the only ones of their kind in Spain where you will find traces of the two civilisations.
- Times: every Monday and Thursday, departure at 8.30am and return at 8pm.
- Half-day trip:
- Trip from Barcelona to Lloret de Mar, the Costa Brava’s main tourist resort.
- You’ll visit the beaches, streets, shops and architectural gems of this colourful, bustling town with its famous seafront promenade.
- You’ll take a trip along the coastline on the Dofijet boats as far as the neighbouring town of Tossa de Mar, while you enjoy views of the rugged Costa Brava landscape.
- You’ll disembark at Tossa de Mar, "The Pearl of the Costa Brava", and discover one of the towns that has best preserved its natural setting in harmony with the development of the tourist industry.
- Times: every Saturday, departure at 8.30am and return at 4.30pm.
- Full-day trip:
- The visit includes:
- Travel.
- Guide/courier.
- Ticket for the Nautilus boat or Dofijets, according to the chosen option.
- Admission to and guided tour of the ruins at Empúries (only as part of the full-day trip).
- Languages: english and Spanish.
- Departures from Plaça Catalunya (in front of the Hard Rock Cafe). Metro: L1/L3, stop Catalunya. Bus: 16, 17, 41, 42 and 55. FGC, stop Catalunya. Passengers must arrive 15 minutes before departure.
