The Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) opened in 1995 and is located right in Barcelona centre. The building was designed by the North-American architect Richard Meier.

The Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) brings together a major collection of works covering the production of art over the past 50 years. As well as showcasing different selections from its collections throughout the year, the museum also stages an extensive programme of temporary exhibitions and activities related to contemporary art and culture.
