La Virreina - Centre de la Imatge
The Palau de la Virreina, on La Rambla, is one of the most representative examples of 18th-century civic baroque architecture and a major architectural landmark.

The Virreina Centre de la Imatge was set up to meet the challenges of an age in which visual culture has started to replace written culture as a knowledge transmitter. In accordance with this premise, the Centre contributes to the cultural fabric of the city with two gallery spaces that seek to become platforms for the dissemination of contemporary art.
Espai 2: A temporary exhibition space devoted to the visual image, located on the first floor of the Palau de la Virreina. Espai 2 hosts thematic, solo and group exhibitions showcasing photography and audiovisual projects.
Espai Xavier Miserachs: The gallery, which is named after the Catalan photographer Xavier Miserachs, is located in the courtyard of the Palau de la Virreina and stages exhibitions on themes ranging from photojournalism of historic interest to shows by the most prestigious Spanish photographers and the presentation of contemporary visual artists.
